Purpose : 1) Raise awareness among the YE members about the less fortunate.

2) To lend a hand to the disabled.

3) To fulfil our CSR.

9 Pink Hippo members paid a visit to the Taman Megah Disabled Home. There were many disabled children as well as orphans which have lost their parents at this young age.

Sympathy flowed from our hearts. It is very saddening to see how unfortunate these children are.

This allows the members of Pink Hippo Enterprise to realise how unlucky others are.

Donations were done and we tried our best to help and aid them to learn as well as have fun.

I believe God made everyone special in many ways. It's just the acceptance that matter.

Tears. Joy. Pain. Life.

We all share them as a family.

As a part of the human race.

7th Aug 2010 : YE Sales at e@Curve

Programme : Young Enterprise Annual Sales

Achievers arrived at the venue as early as 7.30 a.m. to prepare the decorations.

This year , our booth is forest themed. Vines , leaves and green table cloth are main components of our decoration.

We were intelligent enough to choose a booth NEXT to the enterance. This way , we could grab our customers to buy OUR product FIRST before buying other products from other booths.

~~This was our strategy.~~

~~To use up all the customer's money , so that they will not have sufficient cash to buy other products. MUAHAAHHAAHAH !!!~~

Just kidding. It was purely our products' attraction that brought us this achievement.

Congrats to all Pink Hippo Enterprise employees.

As the ICT manager of Pink Hippo Company , I deeply apologise for the late update.
Late = 3 months.

Date : 20th April 2010
Venue : IBM office at Bandar Utama.
Time : 8.30am - 12.00pm.

Purpose : 1) To allow the YE members to receive hands-on approach on how a company works.
2) To learn how to the working environment.
3) To understand more about the organization chart in a business company
4) To realise how delicious the food IBM had offered.

We went by bus , to the main office. EACH YE member was given a tag as a visitor identity. We proceeded into the different departments such as the Finance Department , Human Resource Department , and even the Managing Director's office! :D

Due to the proverb , " A picture is worth a thousand words" , I shall let the pictures speak.

14th to 15th April 2010 : Citi Stock Challenge

Venue : Wisma MCA , Kuala Lumpur.
Time : 9.00am - 4pm.
Objectives : To allow entrepreneurs to learn more about stocks , thus giving exposure to the stock market.

Stock Challenge.
According to one of our teacher advisors , Pn Chang , she did a great job briefing us about the challenge.

One of her favourite quotes was , " The stock challenge is actually very challenging. "
Although we knew that already , we accept whatever the advisors say.

With that in mind , we stepped into the room to proceed with the course.

The first day was educational. Mrs. Dickson , Mr. Binette , and Mr. Gulik (they are from Canada) aided us and taught us how to be a smart investor.

They taught us how to look at the situation of the companies.
It wasn't boring as they joke around alot.

"she is the shy one" psst. HAHAHHAA.

Anyways, we were brought to the auditorium for briefing about the challenge which will be held on the next day. We learnt so much.

The next day was tiring. Running around the stock market , counting money , balancing a ledger , and learning how to coorporate with your other teammates.

If you are reading this , Mrs. Dickson , Mr. Binette and Mr. Gulik , we would like to say thank you for this wonderful experience.

Not forgetting the non-kiasu sponsors , Citibank and Learning Society (Singapore).
Thank you for the generous sponsorship. Without your sponsorship , we would have to starve and faint when buying stocks.

Well, I'm just saying.

And thank you to everyone who participated. You guys did an amazing job to bring forth Pink Hippo Enterprise to success.

Beautifully and carefully designed , delicate handicraft , and with impressive creativity , we came up with many products. We chose 4 as our products to be sold.

Thank you fellow students who supported us and bought our products.

Now that we did our sales in school , its time to show our products to public.

1) Ping Pong Dolls.

Description : Ping Pong Dolls are dolls which are made from two ping pong balls , covered with fabric and beads. It is designed to specially to attract young children to teenagers to purchase this cute doll.

2) Bracelets
Description : Bracelets are made from beads and crystal strings which are elastic as accessory for our customers. We are also selling this product with our other product , The Mystical Bottle. The set is rM 6. (:

Description : Bottle? We are selling bottles? WOW. Literally yes. But we are selling super awesome cool bottles likes how the name says it. (well , not really as lame as the name tho) BUT ITS COOL.

Sales In School.

Thank you for your support everyone. We appreciate your commitment members of Pink Hippo. To everyone who bought our products , thank you for supporting us. We are garenteed to come up with better ideas for our customers.

Sales in school was quite a hectic day for all of us.

The total sales were quite rewarding.
Products sold are :
1) Ping Pong Dolls
2) The Bottle Thingy Magic
3) Handphone straps and keychains.
4) Bracelets.

Well , we ~~forced~~ asked some teachers to buy some of our products. Thank you teachers. :)

Anyway , we might be having another sales , selling other products too. Please stay tuned. :D

21st Feb 2010 : CSR Recyling Campaign

Venue : Taman Tun Housing Area.
Time : 9 - 1.00 pm.

Objectives :

To fulfill our CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibilites).
To enhance our school and company's reputation.
To learn how to work together.
To give back to the society.
To earn funds which are to be donated to the needy.

We earned around RM130 from selling THIS MUCH.

Give a round of applause to the members of Pink Hippo Enterprise who came for this time-consuming event.

We did this with no equipment but 1 trolley. This shows how much effort the employees of P.H. Enterprise put into this event.

Our hands as soft as jelly after the campaign , we had some "conversations" with the "paper-lama-man" and earned a few more bucks. :D

Well, it was not a waste.
It's worth our energy to save mother earth.

At least for me, I burnt a few hundrel calories. :D

Five Advisors came to this meeting.
It was a really productive meeting as we planned an agenda before the meeting began..
We managed to finish off everything in the meeting. Hence , the word "productive". :)

We acheived the following :-

We gave presentations on our year round products.
We understood the true meaning behind our vision and mission
We discussed with the advisors about our marketing surveys.
Chose our product
Discussed about the sales and when we can start selling products.

7 February 2010 : "Production" Day.

Venue : Grace Lim House.
Time : 12.00pm - 7.00pm.

What we acheived :-

Obtained a rough idea on how to make the Valentine's product.
Allowed the production team to learn how to make the product.
Finished the letter which is going to be issued to En. Ismail about the sales of the roses for valentines day.
Calculated the product's cost price and sales price.
The experience of conducting a production session.
Finished the organization chart.

The team has fought , disagreed with each other , or even allowed stress to overload themselves.
However , with preservarance , we worked like crap.

Outcome?
Rewarding. :)

2th Feb 2010 : Registration.

Like stated in the previous post , we are officially a Young Enterprise Company. Pink Hippo Enterprise looking awesome in every way , we are now ready to get out there and do our best.

The process of registering the company was a little troublesome.
Our Assistant Managing Director and Company Secretary (they are cousins. :O ) visited the Amoda building which is situated opposite Time Square to register.

Time and petrol was sacrificed , efforts were put in.
The company secretriat on duty , Barbra (not sure with the spelling) registered our company. They also allowed us to sell shares now.

HOWEVER ,
due to too many request , we do not have anymore shares to sell to people.
We are TRULY sorry for this. :(

You can still help out our company by buying our products. :D

Speaking of which , we have made up our mind on the Valentine's Day products at the meeting today. Now , what is left is purchasing , production and quality control. We assure you these products can make him/her happy. ;)

2 Feb 2010 : We are now recognised as a Young Enterprise Company!

Credits to our Managing Director , Dominique Teoh , A. Managing Director , William Chu and also our Company Secretary , Sophie Chin for this success.

From today onwards , we are no longer called the "YE CLUB OF SMKDUSKK." Now we are officially a registered company.

We are now selling shares to people , preferably our schoolmates , or teachers. Other people who are interested can also do so by contacting our Finance Director , Tam Qilin.

For your information , our shares are sold for RM2 each.
Each individual can buy up to 5 shares ( RM 10)

With socks pulled up high, (practically)
we paid Sunway University College a visit to attend a workshop held there.

Objective :

1) To get a rough idea about the Young Enterprise programme.

2) To meet people from other schools to exchange ideas about the YE programme.

3) To learn about the value of teamwork and listening to opinions from teammates.

4) To instill optimism in the achiever's mind , thus learning how to think positively and neglecting all negative thoughts.

Overall remark :
Marcia ( The Workshop Commitee) did an amazing job on the workshop. We , as the employees of the Pink Hippo Enterprise would like to thank Marcia and the other commitee members for organizing this educational yet enjoyable workshop. Not forgetting the university who sponsored this workshop , Sunway University College , thank you.

After deep consideration , the YE team has come up with a unique and creative name for the company. Although there were some conflicts during the meeting , we finally came up with the idea of Pink Hippo Enterprise.

Pink Hippo Enterprise is indeed a debatable name. The YE team has finally agreed with this name. We all wanted to come up with a name which is catchy and funky.

So , here it is.
We are now known as the Pink Hippo Enterprise.

All freshed up , we , as the YE Club of the SMK Damansara Utama Sekolah Kluster Kecemerlangan shall and will do our best in our service and products to ensure maximum statisfaction from customers. :)
